If you are even remotely thinking about modifying the engine in your Scion xA 2003 or 2004, the 61 Degree Racing Thermostat by Mishimoto should be one of your first steps. This thermostat opens at (61º C) as opposed to the standard (82°C), meaning that the coolant is released to flow through the engine much sooner, therefore allowing greater cooling efficiency in your engine. But don't worry, this won't happen until the engine is totally warmed up. Your xA will thank you for making the investment in maintaining a much cooler temperature especially since turbochargers and superchargers make that baby hot!
